Interested in Peer Support?
Mad Students Society (MSS), created in 2005, is a peer support and advocacy group of/for students who have personal experiences with psychiatric systems, madness, mental illness, mental health disabilities, etc. We meet monthly (in Hamilton, Toronto, and via real-time internet chat) and moderate an active, private, email discussion listserv open to members living anywhere in the world.
Our Hamilton peer support meetings are starting up again - with our first gathering of the new school year on Thursday, September 20 from 4:30-6:30pm at McMaster University. Students (or people planning to return to school) from any college, university, or adult education course/program are welcome to attend. Membership is free.
